Geology

In the last 2 weeks Miss Taylor's class got to learn geology from a lady that came from CSI,named Amber. We learned how to tell the differences between rocks. There are igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. We got to make rocks and eat them.We got to take rocks home.Igneous rock is lava rock.Sedimentary rock is layered rock.Metamorphic rock is like melted rock that are smushed together. Those are the rocks in the rock cycle. She gave us real rocks but she gave us stuff to make edible rocks.
I interviewed Gage Burnham and he asked, "What did you make the rocks out of ?"

We made the rocks out of peanut butter, crackers, chocolate, and candy.

The Field Trip

On March 31, 2010 our class went on a field trip to the Hagerman Fossil Museum, the Fish Hatchery, and Malad Gorge. At the Fish Hatchery we learned about fish eggs and fish food. We got to feed the fish. Some of us got to pet a sturgeon. At Malad Gorge we saw the devil's washbowl and his face. When it gets warmer 2 times a week they flood the park and you can come and play in the water.
